Analyzing Badges

These badges represent a teacher and industry partner designed learning progression on how high school scholars develop and go deep as an analyzing scientist or engineer.  This involves critical thinking skills that include analyzing data, claims, theories, and models produced by scientists and engineers.  At the end of this list is a badge progression map, which describes when these badges are introduced and assessed across all four grades at Del Lago Academy.

You can quickly understand a data set by reading and interpreting tables and graphs.

You are competent with learning, practicing, evaluating, and troubleshooting for a particular piece of science equipment.

This badge is about learning from failure and understanding error that is inherent in an experiment.

You can generate and critique histograms and scatter plots for purposes of interpreting data.
